Posted on January 2, 2015
We are deeply saddened by the news that Michael Kennedy, distinguished music critic, biographer and loyal Camerata Patron, has died aged 88.
Michael was chief music critic at The Daily Telegraph for many years and published many books, including biographies on Elgar and Vaughan Williams amongst other composers. A guru on the works of Richard Strauss, Michael was Honorary Patron of the Strauss’s Voice festival held in Manchester last year.
Amongst the many things he did, Michael was a loyal Camerata Patron and supporter for many years, and we will miss him dearly. We offer our sincere condolences to Michael’s family and friends.
