Manchester 2013|14 Season Announced
Following a triumphant 40th anniversary season, a season of sell-outs, we are delighted to announce our 2013|14 programme. Tickets go on sale via The Bridgewater Hall on Monday 20 May at 10am.
In 2013/14, we continue to explore the vibrant world of Mozart concertos, alongside works by other musical greats, including Haydn, Mahler, Beethoven and Britten. As ever, the limitless musical imagination and emotional depth of Music Director, Gábor Takács-Nagy, combines with the energy of Camerata to bring you performances that are brimming with energy and vibrancy.
This season, we’re joined by some of the world’s most acclaimed soloists, including Classic FM Artist Claire Jones(20 Sept), Jean-Efflam Bavouzet (12 Oct), Paul Lewis (22 Feb) and Benjamin Grosvenor (24 May).
In November, Italian cello sensation, Giovanni Sollima, makes a welcome return to Camerata, after a mesmerising performance in 2011, and in the new year, we join our friends at the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic and The Bridgewater Hall for the Strauss’s Voice festival, when we share the stage with BBC New Generation Artist, soprano Ruby Hughes.
You will also hear new commissions from Camerata’s 2013/14 Sound and Music ‘Embedded’ Composer-in-Residence, Laura Bowler.
Following the number of sell-out concerts we had last season, we strongly recommend that you subscribe. Enjoy browsing through the brochure and we hope to see you at our opening concert on Friday 20th September in the stunning surroundings of Manchester Town Hall.
Tickets go on sale on Monday 20 May at 10am via The Bridgewater Hall Box Office.
