Season 2018-19 Booking Now

Welcome to Manchester Camerata’s 2018-19 Season

This season we’re continuing to evolve in everything we do and to continue to put the art at the forefront of our work, that’s why we’ve taken the time to curate this new pocket-sized event guide format for our 2018-19 season… well half of it at least.

Which brings us onto the next evolution.  We’ve decided to split our season into Part 1 and Part 2 because to be frank, the first half of the season is so good we wanted to shine a spotlight on it.  We also wanted you to share some highlights of us flying the flag for Manchester as we go across the country and around the world.

Artistic partnerships continue to drive our work under the auspices of Gábor Takács-Nagy, now entering his 8th season as Music Director and remaining as committed as ever to new and innovative work with some of the most exciting talent in the world.

We kick off the first half of this season at the majestic Stoller Hall as Jean-Efflam Bavouzet returns for another electrifying Mozart concert.  This marks the start of a five-year landmark project in partnership with the world-class Chetham’s School of Music to deliver the complete performance and recording cycle of all Mozart’s incredible piano concertos, paired with his largely unknown, but equally extraordinary, Opera Overtures.

You will have the chance to feel the vibrations of the instruments, hear the drama in the silence and have your pulse race as we ramp up our UpClose series — featuring Classical Brits 2018 Winner Jess Gillam, local guitar heroes Prose and a very special performance of the seminal Carnival of the Animals. We close out 2018 with our annual Albert Hall Christmas party – The Manchester Festive Happening and return to The Bridgewater Hall for our New Year's Day Viennese Gala, ushering in 2019 in style.

If you think 2018 sounds exciting, then wait until Part 2.

See you soon. Tickets on sale 18th June.
