Bridgewater Hall box office now closed. Tickets available on the door, CASH ONLY
Composed and recorded as a tribute to Italo Calvino’s playful, postmodern novel If On A Winter’s Night A Traveller, If… is a collection of cinematic songs that fuse exquisite strings and sublime orchestral movements with emotive, vocal-led pieces. Inspired by composers like Clint Mansell and Abel Korzeniowski, If… establishes Bill Ryder-Jones as a talented composer and songwriter in his own right. A unique collaboration, this event will feature Ryder-Jones on guitar and vocals/strings and orchestration from Camerata in the inspiring surroundings of Manchester Cathedral. Punctuating the evening will be extracts from the novel, recently recorded for the occasion by actor, John Simm.
This event is unreserved seating (seat numbers displayed on the booking website do not apply).
*No fee applies to tickets bought in person and paid for by cash or cheque. Tickets bought in person at the Box Office using a debit card or credit card are subject to a 2% booking fee.
