In this 40th anniversary concert, Manchester Camerata's charismatic and exuberant leader, Giovanni Guzzo, takes centre stage in a programme featuring one of the earliest known versions of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, called The Manchester Manuscript.
This rare original version will also be on display at the RNCM on the night. Read more about The Manchester Manuscript here You will also get the chance to hear Piazzolla’s The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, which takes inspiration from Vivaldi, incorporating jazz and Argentinian tango into a work full of luscious harmonies and punchy earthy folk rhythms.
