Manchester Camerata in Colne

Welcome to Manchester Camerata’s 2017-18 season in Colne. Tickets are now on sale, see below for booking details.

Jess Gillam ( BBC Young Musician of the Year Finalist) makes her Manchester Camerata debut at this all concerto spectacular. The orchestra take centre stage for the first two concertos before this brilliant saxophonist shares her unique gift with us. Colne local Rachael Clegg joins Jess in the performance of the Albinoni and the second half sees the PYMB Prize winning soloist performance giving us a glimpse of incredible emergent talent.

Fall in love with Manchester Camerata this valentines as we bring you a programme perfumed with Romance and inspired by the hope of the new. Rebecca Bottone makes a return visit to Manchester Camerata to dazzle us with some romantic classics as alongside the emerging talent of a PYMB soloist. Rebecca is synonymous with breathing life into any repertoire and is the perfect fit for this evening celebration of love.

Mesmerising pianist, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, returns for another session of vivid music making with Gábor and the orchestra – Mozart in high definition.

'His playing was fluent, illuminating and perfectly judged' ***** MEN — Robert Beale’s review of Jean Efflam-Bavouzet’s last performance with Manchester Camerata. This afternoon performance will be a concentrated one hour performance of the highest calibre.

Each of our concerts will see us joined by recipients of the Pendle Young Musicians’ Bursary, revealing the best of the new generation of performers in the area.

LOGO PYMB‘We are delighted to support the Pendle Young Musicians' Bursary, which gives young musicians a chance of accessing a prize money fund of £16,000 to help them continue their musical studies. The bursary is open to musicians aged 17-21 years who reside within a 20 mile radius of the Colne Muni and we hope our association with the PYMB will result in opportunities for the successful young musicians to work with Camerata sometime in the future.’
