Mansfield's Mozart Experience
Wed 27th Oct 2010 - 13:12

Children from four schools in Mansfield have been coming to grips with the genius of Mozart to create their own composition.

A performance by young musicians took place before Manchester Camerata's concert in Mansfield on 17 October 2010, which included Mozart's Don Giovanni.

On the night the students produced a very interesting and professional show, with performers situated in different areas of the concert hall to add an impressive acoustic effect.

The piece of music was the product of an educational programme specially commissioned for local pupils and funded by Orchestras Live, which aims to take high quality music to people and places which may not get the opportunity to experience it.

All the participants will received a free ticket to the concert.

The concert itself was a prime feature of Mansfield's Palace Theatre's Centenary Celebrations and saw Manchester Camerata joining forces with internationally renowned violinist, Tasmin Little, and the orchestra's future Music Director, Gábor Takács-Nagy to celebrate the Palace Theatre's 100th Birthday with a superb programme of music.
