Camerata projects enable people to make positive changes in their own lives to reach their full potential. Our student-led learning approach enables:
positive personal and social development;
raises attainment and increases engagement in school;
increases self-confidence and self-esteem.
There are no barriers - anyone can play a full part in a Camerata project regardless of age, ability or experience. Children and young people drive the creation of their own work, working as creative equals alongside professional artists; developing a strong sense of ownership and pride in their achievement. These projects bring the curriculum to life and offer a great way of developing the social, moral, spiritual & cultural output from your school.
All our cross-curricular workshops and projects can be used as Arts Award Discover and Explore and contribute to an Artsmark application.
'It amazes me how Manchester Camerata can bring young people of all ages together to create one piece of music. [The children] create their own words, create their own music [...] it's just stunning!' - Jane Delfino MBE Manchester Academy
