Early Years and Families

Camerata's Early Years & Families work aims to engage parents and young children by providing a wide range of activities based upon songs, rhymes and active music making. Dalcroze Eurhythmics forms the basis of our Early Years work enhancing holistic child development, encouraging parent-child relationships and introducing musical skills to both young and old.

Seaside Town






Seaside Town took place in Autumn 2012 and was a six week project for parents and children aged 0-4 which to explored the different sights and sounds of the gallery exhibition - Seaside Town.   Early years children and their parents explored music through traditional song and lullabies helping to strengthen relationships and develop language, musical skills and physical co-ordination.
Blacon Early Years    
Blacon Early Years project used Dalcroze Eurhythmics to explore music through children’s songs, rhymes and stories to support the development of musical and listening skills, social skills and self-awareness and self-confidence.

Dalcroze Eurhythmics  

Seaside Town

Dalcroze Eurhythmics is a music education method which focuses on movement as a method of learning. Used at many levels from young children to professional musicians, participants are able to develop a sensory link between music and movement providing a deeper, more personal understanding the sounds they hear.
