Gábor Takács-Nagy took up the posiiton of Music Director at Manchester Camerata at the start of the 2011/12 Season although he had worked many times with the orchestra in the preceeding seasons. Gábor brings with him the passion and colour of the Hungarian musical legacy - a rich central European heritage, which combines perfectly with the energy, humour and creativity of this most Mancunian of orchestras. |

Two Russian works that straddle the turn of the 20th century and illuminate different musical strands – Tchaikovsky’s Romantic elegance and Prokofiev’s early, compositional irreverence.
