We currently have a Vacancy within our Orchestra for a Violin Member

Manchester Camerata, Music Director Gábor Takács-Nagy and Leader Adi Brett, seek an exceptional and flexible player capable of contributing to the future of this exciting chamber orchestra. Working throughout the North West, UK and Internationally, in a variety of venues, the orchestra also has an award-winning community programme. Camerata has a commitment to diversity in its programming, staffing and community engagement, & actively seeks applications from the widest range of applicants.

The deadline for applications is Thursday 1st March. We will acknowledge receipt of your application, but if you haven’t heard from us by Thursday 8th March then unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.

 

Audition Repertoire:

   • Pieces: Mozart Concerto plus cadenza (1st Movement only) and contrasting piece of own choice
   • Orchestral Excerpts: To be advised on confirmation of audition.

 

Audition Date:

   • Thursday 5th April

 

Venue:

   • RNCM, Manchester M13 9RD

 

Other Information:

   • The panel will consist of Adi Brett and Member Principals of the orchestra.
   • A pianist will be provided and will be available for rehearsal 20 minutes before the audition.
   • Excerpts will be sent to you by email on confirmation of your audition.
   • Please note Manchester Camerata is unable to assist with expenses for auditions.
   • Last year we offered approximately 80 days of work to members. Please note depending on the concert programme and repertoire members are not always required for all concerts.
